Arkana Web is a one-person studio. I build custom websites for Arkansas businesses — the plumber, the dentist, the family roofer — because a lot of them are still stuck picking between a $99 template and a $15,000 out-of-state bill. Neither one is fair.

Hey — I'm Mitch. I grew up in Arkansas, I live in Little Rock, and I'm the one who designs, builds, and looks after every site that comes out of this studio. If you email, I'm the one who reads it. If you call, I'm the one who picks up.
I'm also finishing my bachelor's in cybersecurity at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR). It's why security isn't a checkbox here — hardened headers, DNSSEC, real backups, and a monitoring setup that pings me when something looks off come standard on every build, not as a premium tier.
I started Arkana Web because I got tired of watching great local businesses get stuck with either a template that also serves 3,000 other plumbers or a bill from out-of-state they can't justify. There's a real middle here, and it's what I do.
Every site is designed and built by hand for the business paying for it. No pre-baked plumber template, no dentist wizard. Your layout, your palette, your words, drawn for you.
Nothing gets outsourced. Nothing gets shipped off to a factory of anonymous freelancers. If it's on your site, I wrote it or picked it. That's how the price stays honest and the work stays yours.
I use modern tools — including some smart automations for backups, uptime checks, and security scans — because they let one person do careful work for a lot of businesses. Tools are tools. The person on the other end of the email is still me.
Considered over clever. The best design is the one your customer doesn't notice — they just find what they need and trust what they see. We aim for calm, confident, and durable.
Secure by default. A cybersecurity mindset is baked into every project from day one. Not a premium tier. Not an afterthought. Every site launches with DNSSEC, hardened headers, backups, and monitoring — because a compromised site is a compromised business.
Local relationships. Arkansas is small enough that reputation is the only marketing that matters. I work with businesses I'd want to eat at, hire, or send a family member to. That filter is intentional.
You own everything. Domain, hosting, content, code. If you ever leave, you leave whole. I'm a partner, not a landlord.
Under the hood: Astro and Tailwind for the site, Cloudflare for hosting and security, Stripe for payments, Clerk for authentication, and Google Workspace for everything else. Chosen because they're fast, reliable, secure, and priced for a small studio to run without cutting corners.
Every site gets a quiet monitoring setup running in the background — uptime, security drift, performance dips — that pings me when something looks off, so I can actually catch it before you do. Boring in the best way.
